Sky Ringside
Sky Channel pioneered Pay Per View boxing in Australia. In April 1987 ‘Marvelous’ Marvin Hagler defended his Undisputed World Middleweight Title against ‘Sugar’ Ray Leonard in one of the biggest sporting events of the 80’s.
So began a long and successful relationship with Pay Per View boxing from around the globe.
Over the years Sky Ringside has become the spiritual home of boxing as we have showcased the rise and fall ring legends such as Mike Tyson, Roy Jones, Jeff Fenech, Kostya Tszyu and Oscar De La Hoya.
Sky Ringside’s distinctive coverage is superior to any other presentation. All our Pay Per Views are hosted out of the Sky studios and include interviews and boxing highlight packages to ensure our coverage is of the highest quality.
Each event is followed by our popular ‘Canvas Classics’ which are chosen from our massive boxing library. This means patrons stay at the venue long after the ‘live’ event is over, and thus ensures Publicans, who subscribe to Sky Ringside Pay Per Views, are obtaining added ‘value for money’ for choosing our coverage.

DE LA HOYA V PACQUIAO
Oscar De La Hoya has been the biggest name in boxing for more than a decade. Such is his popularity he’s transcended boxing to become one of the most recognisable sportsmen on the planet.
Since securing Olympic gold at the 1992 Barcelona games he has won world titles from Super Featherweight through to Middleweight. While some has cynically called him an over-hyped pretty boy, his record speaks for itself.
In a glorious sixteen year career he’s clashed with some of the best fighters of his generation, and has never been afraid to stand toe to toe in order to obtain victory. His passionate and competitive style has ensured his popularity amongst boxing fans has never been in doubt.
This may be his Golden Goodbye but De La Hoya has chosen no soft touch for his farewell bash. In fact, he’s decided to face the man many consider the best fighter on the planet, the fearsome Filipino, Manny Pacquiao.
While De La Hoya will have a distinct height and reach advantage, he’s facing a hungry fighter at the peak of his skills. Lightning quick with thunderous power, Pacquiao is like a tornado in the ring. Unrelenting and merciless, he will test De La Hoya resolve every second of every minute during the contest.
Pacquiao knows this is his chance to cement his own boxing legacy and he’ll fight as he always does, as if his life depended on victory.
This is an early Christmas present for fight fans the world over, and you have the chance to watch it LIVE on your home of boxing – Sky Ringside.
