Satellite Information

Sky Racing provides secure encrypted video transmission Australia wide using channels on the Optus Aurora D2 satellite Platform. Sky Racing transmits Sky Racing racing program on a main channel with additional channels for Oracle tipping service, Trackside virtual racing, and  a channel for occasional special events and business television broadcasts. The Sky Racing program channel is produced and delivered to the various Pay TV operators for distribution to home viewers. Sky Channel also has international capacity on the Measat 3 satellite which enables video transmission access to Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe. Sky Racing's satellite services are complimented with under the sea international fibre optic video links to New Zealand and the USA.

Decoder Equipment

A satellite receiving dish and decoder is installed at each client's premises. Each decoder must be authorised before it will unscramble the encrypted transmission signal. Each decoder is pre-tuned in order to receive programming for which the client has been entitled. Where a customer wishes to receive both services simultaneously, a second decoder is required.

Customer Support

Sky Racing maintains extended hours for customer support. The customer support team will co-ordinate installation and maintenance of satellite receiving and decoder equipment as well as providing hotline assistance for technical difficulties. Sky Racing has a national network of over 100 contractors on call to attend to technical problems.
